I have to incorporate some FFTA logic into this, so bear with me.

A move in FFTA makes damage without actual physical touch. "merpeople, having lasers knocked out of their hands by an invisible force" made me think: If we actually apply this technique to the merpeople themselves, maybe their lasers, we may have the answer.

Then I thought "how can I render air to do my bidding?" and it hit me. WE'RE UNDERWATER!

So we do this.

Summon an MSN butterfly, and have it flap it wings so that it pushes the water twoard the merpeople. This force may knock them down, knock the guns out of their hands entirely, or maybe knock them into the rip.

Try to regain all chaos items from your inventory (this means to remove them) and go past ward. Take apart the KeyinaCloak to get the snuffus cloak and the pandora's keys.
Put on the cloak, and try to grab it from the bottom to make a glider-type thingamajiggy.
Put the bookmark of eternity as far out in the middle of the chasm as you can, and hold on to the rope and try to swing, letting go at the apex of the swing and gliding to the other end, like Knuckles almost. ^_^

I don't think so... think of it this way.

The Chaos Lightbulb is constructed of a normal lightbulb with a built in NOT gate. The fact that no power goes into it undergoes a x=(x+1) & 1 process to create power inside the lightbulb.
However, if you somehow use the Lightbulb as a source of power, the 1 will go through the NOT gate and thus turn into 0, or no power at all. You can't get power from a powered Chaos object, because they are effectively NOT gates. You'd need to hitch up the Chaos Lightbulb to a Chaos Wire, and I haven't seen any of those around, unless you could possibly use the Chaos Coil as one.
