That's the Pre-3.1 spirit, Xi!
The Bag of Nojuice is a small brown bag containing a runny dark purple substance. Surprisingly, the fabric bag does not leak.
The Thirdnotestrudel is a satanic mechanisim of great power and unknown use. Created from the Third Page, Sporkstrudel, and Irrelevent note, the device looks somewhat like a metal pastery wrapped in paper.

Orb: The swirly sky blue orb is round, hence the name "orb". Not much else can be said from your current knowledge of it.
Crystal: The yellow orange crystal is angular and pointed, hence the name "crystal". Not much else can be said from your current knowledge of it.
Pedistal: The stone pedistal has the orb sitting on it. It looks strangely like the pedistal pictured in the carvings. You don't know the pedistal's purpouse, or why the crystal and orb both aren't on it, but it gives you a headache thinking about it.

Inf. Spaz got this freakishly correct, but not entirely. You return to the trading post and switch the sparkly rock for the broken can opener. Well, now you know why she was in the rigged pool to begin with; she had dropped her car keys. The chains tighten around your bodies, pulling the three of you tighter to the ground. she died forgetting how to dispell enchanted chains in her pool.
not remembering the puzzle combination to the enchanted chains he some reason installed in her swimming pool
I can almost believe these two are the same, but not quite. ("he some reason"? "she for some reason"?) After all, if you can't use magic at the pool, how would you be able to dispell them in the first place?
Of course, dispelling them doesn't even go with Pandora reaching for a silvery object, which is presumably the combination thing. (Reaching? If she forgot the combination, wouldn't that mean she had already reached it?)
So let's assume that Radium has edited Pandora's story to be dispelling instead of a combination. In that case, the pool must have been new, and Pandora forgot about it being rabid while testing the chains.
And that leads us to the conclusion that this is not Pandora at all, but some random skeleton who happens to be trapped by enchanted chains. Either that, or Uberbob's memory of Araches' story is inaccurate. Or using a combination lock counts as dispelling for some strange reason.
Meanwhile, the party shouldn't be in any danger. The chains seem to be there for the sole purpose of holding the captive(s) underwater long enough to drown them, as none of the skeleton's bones are broken. About the only problem is that they're stuck.
And so, Fawriel should try eating some noberries.
Radium
Sep 4, 2003, 02:32 AM
You're making two assumtions there. First, you don't know what the puzzle was; it could very well be to dispell the chains. Second, you're assuming the pool was always rabid. As for the forgotten S... I'm too lazy to go fix that so let's say she had a swimming pool installer put the chains in. And we've already learned that the silver object is her car keys. Pandora dropped her keys in the pool, dived in to get them, the chains got her, and she couldn't remember how to cast "dispell".
And Fawriel can not eat a noberry because his arms are tied down. As are Uberbob's.

I'm not sure you'd really forget "how to cast" a puzzle combination.
Also, if you were drowning due to being trapped by enchanted chains, would you still be trying to get your car keys, or trying to get the chains off of you? I'd say the second, unless the car keys have some special use in the situation, and seeing as magic in this world doesn't seem to need any components... (though studying for dark arts seems to)
But I'll admit I was assuming the pool was always rabid, due to not being able to envision some animal biting a pool.
(Uberbob's memory of what Araches said is still not what Araches said)
