There haven't been many uploads lately, so I decided to check one out.
So let's check out this map, shall we?

Eye candy:
Pretty decent eye candy, has been used a lot. The leaves in the foreground layer is kind of annoying. You won't be able to spot a flying bee who's coming to you. Also, the leaves go horizontal, which looks unrealistic compared to the background. Because it doesn't look stormy at all…
(I also would like to point out that you copied most of the levels eye candy from the single player of JJ2, which is pretty bad and uninspired.)
I also found a lot of tile bugs playing through, which isn't that kind of a big deal, but try to avoid them.

Game play:
The two different start positions was a good idea. But when I started as Spaz, the chaos overwhelmed me. Starting as Spaz gives you immediately two road opportunities to go, which is pretty confusing.
Further on it isn't that bad, you pretty much have to pick 1 of 2 roads which are given.
I also found some random doorways which were empty (e.g. at 87,43 and 138,21)

Pick-up placement:
Noticed a lot of food, and a lot is a lot, food leads towards a sugar rush, which is pretty powerful. Less food increases the difficulty.
There are also a lot of hidden paths to gain ammo, coins, gems and extra lives. They are all scattered over the map, but hard to find, try to make them more visible.

Enemy placement:
Most of them are well placed, but it's kind of annoying when you died, and spawn in the middle of 2 enemies. (Of course there is blink time, but you might not have enough time to kill them)
There are way too many enemies in the boss fight in a crampy area, pretty hard.

Music:
Not the best choice, but it fits the map quite well.

Overall:
Good decent level, with a lot of secrets.
It's worth a try, no success guaranteed.

A well done CTF map. The eyecandy is good and decent. Huge amount of ammo, but well gathered around the map. The level is symmetrial and automatically balanced. No flow issues (or maybe a few, but not that they bothered me a lot)

A well deserved 8.4 and a download recommendation!
Good job!

Due it’s a very small level, it’s fun to play. You actually need a few tricks to control this map. It has a movement to gain ammo in a special way, which more levels have. This map looks awesome for me, except layer 6.
Also, not the best music choice..

A small review for you.
I liked the eyecandy very much, it was decent and never used before. Only the rain is falling very slow.
The layout is a bit dissapointing. The level hasn’t any kind of plants or something at layer 5, just some cave stuff. Could have placed some more cave/plants and all that other stuff.
The level is the same at both sides. It’s clearly done with Ctrl + F. Isn’t very creative to do actually.. I see some tilebugs too which shouldn’t be there..

The gameplay is not good but not bad aswell.., it might be fun to play but it has some weird things in it. Like the bouncer powerup, it is well placed but it’s campy and hard to make your way to the PU.
The RF’s are only getable by Electro which is spammed at a few places. I think people just want to play the map and don’t want to get ammo first to get other ammo.
The carrot is a bit campy too.

Also the spring overlaunches you to the base and the C, that makes the flow kind of bad. But the flow is good, except those 2 springs.

I don’t like the music choice for this map, it doesn’t fit it.

The lighting and sounds are too much placed or placed at a wrong tile where it shouldn’t be used.

Well! Since it’s fun to play this level I’ll give you a 7.

Since people dislike this level I’ll help you guys out with my rating.
Decided to give a fully full review which is fuller than full!

Eyecandy:
Considering that this eyecandy has a few ‘bugs’ doesn’t mean it isn’t good. It’s actually well done. The speeds are good and gives a really nice hell effect. The grey atmosphere has a nice colored balanced glow of its map. But the red mists are kind of weird with its speeds.

Gameplay:
Since there are newbies for who has to be the flow perfect. Let me tell you this, not even a single level is perfect. It doesn’t excist, so be happy with what you’ve got. By learning the map you can improve you skills and be like the real pwners. But it seems you don’t seem to understand that. Anyway, now about the levels gameplay.
Since I liked that RF trick there should be another way to get there, with a tube or frozen spring thing, but that is up to you. But you deleted the warp (which I liked..), but that doesn’t effect my rating though. The flow is fifty/fifty.., it has some lacks and i see some nice ends where you can stand. (I mean in the walls) Try to fix these, you can find them by mask on. To get the seeker pu is hard for newbies. It’s just like in ‘Evil Mike’s Evil Fortress’, which has an incredible hard way to get the seeker pu if you play with a lower resolution. Because you don’t see it, I only heard it from a pwner that there was a seeker pu.
Since it’s an hard tileset to use with such crappy maskbugs, so it’s well done and makes the level with the flow a bit better.

Layout:
Ai…, my eyes hurt.. It looks nice, but better you don’t play with low detail. And you hardly see your own rabbit. But that isn’t a big deal, because you always say your name (But not the ground). But I guess the layout is okay but a bit chaotic as well.
But what the hell..? I hardly see carrots because they have to same colour as everything else?!

Placements:
Since this doesn’t count that much, I have to make it count more. Just in this little case.

Seeker PU:
The worst spot in the whole level. It’s too pro biased and has no more ways to get it. Even for the pro’s it sucks.

Bouncer PU:
Has a good spot, but the diagonal line of it doesn’t fit it. Just in the middle of it..

RF PU:
One of the best I guess. On a small island and with some ways to get there.

Blaster PU:
Small doorway, campy, and a C near it. Perfect DD spot.

Toaster PU:
A bit Spaz biased but good enough to control it.

Carrots:
1st (31,7): This one is Spaz biased. Uncampy.

2nd (124,17): This one is more for the DD people which like to camp at the blaster PU. It’s hard to take from the vine, so the best way to get it is from the left.

3rd (64,45): Uncamp, and in a free area. Takes some advantage to get it from the right.

Start posts:
This is something I’ve hardly seen. The startposts are at a small island near a wall. I liked that.

Ammo Placements:
Rather good, sometimes not. Too much tiles between them for example.

Music:
Nice bumbin’ straight in da ears.
(Just good, nothing to say about.)
But I wouldn’t listen this all day.

=================================================================

Since my review is more based on what people think about the gameplay and less about the level I’m not a disliker of this map.

So, the few maskbugs and such could be solved. Learn the freakin’ map instead of complaining.

I was pretty suprised when I played this level, I really enjoyed it. The eyecandy in this level was in one word briljant! The lianas and such are pretty nice. The plants and the water effects are well done. The use of this tileset is good. The gameplay was in the start a bit hard and the boss is pretty hard too, compared to other levels. But you made a good job. The ‘Spaz only’ part was something I liked, no other characters, just Spaz. This level would be very easy if you used Jazz/Lori. Enemy placements is something what was bothering me, you don’t see them coming and such, that maked the level really hard. Music fits the level entirely and I have nothing to say about it.

If you like platform levels with a huge ammount of invisible enemy’s, then this is your map to download. Oh, and if you aren’t a pro, you need some patience.

Another level by RabidRabb, let’s see if i can make a good review for this.
I have a remark about your JCS working style. Test your levels in 16 bit. It would be a bit nicer for the real 16 bit players who’d like to see a colored textured background.

Eyecandy: The eyecandy seems good. But, erm.., the snow doesnt fall so fast in the real world I guess. The very good part of it is that the layers 7 and 6 are made with good layer speeds.

Gameplay: Since this is a ‘no fire’ level with bases, it is hardly to kill someone by buttstomping/sidekicking. But there are no carrots in the level what makes it a bit playable. I would recommend this for duels. But not for 2v2’s or any kind of that. Since the level is campy and a bit too small for it. And there is something more about the doorways to the bases, the end is almost exactly the same exit, so it is a bit campy. The ‘no fire zones’ are almost perfectly used. And since Jazz is underrated with his ‘special’ kick, is this level more Lori/Spaz biased. And I have to point something, Dead Ends is something I see in this level a lot.

Layout: The layout of the level looks chaotic. Because of the snow falls. And I still see some tilebugs. I see only the head of Eva for example. And it´s silly to see that. And I see more tilebugs with the layer 4/5 usage. And the bridges are a bit long. And I don’t like those ‘trans’ tiles of layer 4/5, but I don’t give a lower rating for it.

Music: Not the best choice, those noisy sounds will boost into your ears and gives it chaotic flavor. But this topic should do the real music makers. So that isn’t me.

Alright, this is a good level what I will recommend for playing, since it’s actually fun. But if you dont want tilebugs in your maps. Then don’t download this.

Reply at Rabid: There might be no background, but u made it textured. And there is no colour in it. That’s what I said, u missreaded. And I don’t get the sentence of the c.. So I guess that’s not a big deal. And I still see the difference between the trans tiles and the ground if they were put into normal.

This level has one of the best eyecandy I ever saw with this tileset. Since I wanted to rate this, I do this, no long review for you, because it’s newyear. Anyway, the gameplay is good in someways and it really feels like a stalictited lab. The trigger crate idea is also worked out perfectly! Anyway, this is a must to have in the start of 2011!
