I, not being a battle fan, don’t recommend many battle levels, however I think this one is worth it because of the great layout, eye candy, and weapon placement and such. Overall gets an 8.3 from me. :-)
Nice CTF level by Jeh. The event placement, base placement, and such were all good. The big downfall is it’s awful as far as flag bug goes… oh well, download anyway. :-)
Jeh submitting all of his levels to J2O I see? Coolness. :-)
Nice use of the tileset, good eye candy.
However, I did find some problems. One being the fact that there was a huge overload of weapons, and a few missing springs. However that’s not gonna stop me from saying this is worth downloading. :-)
Wow, one of the few single players I’ve liked in a while. :-)
This episode has good design, decent eye candy and nice music picks. (I had all of the music files already, actually. :-P)
Some of the ideas were creative, however there were some problems, one is the obvious fact that the water looks bad in the castle level. The other being the fact that it needed a few more save positions.
Overall worth a download. Good job. :-)
Hmmm, a few things to think of in this level. One is the obvious fact that the version is a lie. I tried it with 1.23 and it didn’t work…
Also, what’s the point of having gems in a battle level? Decoration? :-)
The rest is pretty average. Ok Design and somewhat good eye candy.
Nice eye candy in these levels, I’ll say… however some stuff takes away from this review…
Eye Candy: +5
Great work on the eye candy here, I liked it. The tilesets were used nicely. (ever though there were some little tile nitches)
Design: +2
Pretty yawnish, lenear design here. I should comment that the dead ends and hard to find the way out of rooms were a bad idea.
1.24 compatible only: -.5
Hmm, is there any real reason to make this 1.23 incompatible?
Navigation: -.3
I dislike the polls somewhat, then can get annoying, I should also comment that the layout was a little too linear. Oh well.
Overall a 6.2 from me.
Pretty average level overall it seems, let me go over the good and bad aspects that affect the review…
Design: +5
The design here is good, though it seems dull at times, events could have been placed better, spring placement could be better too. (springs are a major factor in my reviews)
Eye Candy: +1
Unoriginal background layers, at least the Layer 4 and 3 stuff was good..
Next Level setting: -0.1
I’m going to take away an unnoticable bit of this review because of the next level. Sure, I have it, but it wasn’t included in the zip file, leading to problems.
Navigation: -0.3
Navigation here was a pain, because of lack of good spring placement and lack of one ways where they were needed.
Overall it comes down to a pretty average level. It gets a 5.6 from me.
W00! AWESOME Level!
I was one of the beta testers from the original version of this, so I’ve known it’s coolness for quite some time.
My only complaint was the fact that it has too few weapons, but oh well. Good job marin. :-)
This is one of my only ratings that’s above 9. This tileset it truly awesome in every way. :-)
The two CTF levels are good. The 7th Lava Fall one is a tad confusing though, so .5 taken away because of that. I like both CTF levels equally. Anyways, just download already. :-)
Nothing much to add to these ratings, however I must say the base placement is pretty odd…

This level gets -.5 from the last level I reviewed from Laguna for several reasons…
1. The event placement if awful. I find it a flaw to put springs on 180 degree slants, and to put weapons in corners, near an annoying masking.
2. The repetitive tiling is much more present in this level than his others, I didn’t like the look of several places.
Not as many indivisual flaws, but the flaws found were quite annoying.
A nice little battle level using the Casle tileset.
I myself don’t find Castle very hard to use, but onto the flaws…
1. Don’t put springs in the foreground. It gets confusing.
2. There’s repetitive tiling above pos 52,20. You should almost always variate the tiling.
3. The next level is Battle1. I’m not sure if I should decrease the rating for this, though. It could be a problem in fast multiplayer games, though…
Overall it could’ve gotten a 7, but -.5 for the problems.
Also, correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t this the level Bridges Over Carrotus is linked to? Just wondering.
Very simple this is indeed. The layout is good (bordering on ok) and the lack of eyecandy is pretty bad, however I really don’t have much to say about this level…
Well, I have not a whole lot to say about this level except this.. it’s crud.
Please, level downloader, don’t waste your net time downloading this.
And Grath, you should spend more time on your levels, this one looks like it was made in 10 minutes…
Pretty average.
I like the eye candy and such but it was a little too small and had nothing special. Also, the next level is non-existant…
Very nice level, I have to say. The design, puzzles and eye candy were all very nice. I did have some complaints though:
NEVER use respawning enemies. I hate to kill an enemy just to do the same again 10 seconds later.
Jazz had a small advantage during the avoid the fallen stars part.
Don’t let these flaws stop you from downloading though. Good job AtomicFeline!
A slightly above average level, I guess.
I’m not a huge fan of the design, as the dead ends here really cause trouble at times.
Also, be careful about using that battle~1.j2l thing, it garentees trouble. :-)
A tiny set, with no example level. I must admit, I did like the overall look though. :-)
Overall a little over an average level. Nothing much to say, I barely have anything to say in reviews. :-)
Whoa, 64.5 as a rating. Must be a really good level, heh.
Getting to the levels, these levels are AWESOME. Great layout, awesome event placement, great replay value, overall something that will outlast ANY official level.
